Fifth Third Bank
Illustrating the historic Cincinnati roots of a national leader in banking.
Three large-scale laser cut panels were installed in Fifth Third’s renovated Fountain Square branch in 2020.
Bank History Landmarks Cards and Prints
In 2019 I developed a series of hand-printed art cards referencing key branches and moments in Fifth Third history. I worked with the Fifth Third Museum to identify these key landmarks, adapting the brand’s color palette and curating alternating frontal and angled views. The final cards were sold as a fundraisers and illustrations incorporated into an exhibit in the Fifth Third Corporate Museum in Cincinnati.

Fountain Square Branch Low-Relief Panels:
In 2019- 2020 a triptych of laser cut panels were developed for a feature wall in a flagship Fountain Square branch renovation.
First, I created a round of concepts of types of artwork and executions for the Interior Design and Architecture team.
Development and Process:
The client and I combined concepts 1 and 4, aligning to a laser cut low-relief triptych whose color, material and finish complimented the interior design palette of the branch. The proportion of each panel was 1.67:1 or 5/3rds as a homage to the bank’s name. Once approved I adapted my illustrations to production files and created plans for construction. I supervised the collaborated with Grainwell and Westcott and Schaff on the production and installation of the artwork, coordinating with CBRE and Messer.
