Bourbon Woodcut & Woodtype Letterpress
Bourbon Woodcut & Woodtype Letterpress
Inspired by my love for the world-renowned liquor that originated in the great state of Kentucky.
I partnered with Grainwell in Covington to create a woodcut bottle featuring my illustration and typography I designed inspired by heritage typefaces of the 19th century. For some prints I paired this woodcut with my collection of wood type to create a hand-set letterpress phrase “Kentucky made, Barrel-Aged and 51% Corn.”
Each print is unique and one-of-a-kind, they are hand-printed and hand-inked on a Challenge Proof Press with ink brayers — so your print may vary slightly from the image.
