Initially created as a large-scale woodblock part of a Big Ink event held at Tiger Lily Press, I wanted to stretch what people would think of as a woodblock and make an image that felt almost photographic. The woodblocks are strong center pieces for a room or space and are from a highly-collectible edition of 2. A screen printed edition allows an infusion of color and with the larger edition enables an affordable option that’s easy-to-frame.
Part of my Queen City Scenes collection, this image was developed in the winter of 2022 and will be printed using 4 different methods:
Screenprint: 30” x 20”, edition of 100, 4-color on French Construction White 130#
Screenprint: 30” x 20”, edition of 15, Black on French Construction White 130#
Watercolor Monoprint Serigraphs: 30” x 20”, varied editions, on Rives BFK and Arches
Woodblock Prints: 60” x 30”, edition of 2, black ink on Masa paper
